Uma assembleia é um grupo de membros de uma organização que se reúne periodicamente para tomar decisões sobre uma área ou âmbito específico da organização.
Assembleias realizam reuniões, algumas são privadas e outras são abertas. Se forem abertas, é possível participar nelas (por exemplo: participar se a capacidade permitir, adicionar pontos à agenda ou comentar as propostas e decisões tomadas por este órgão).
Exemplos: Assembleia Geral (que se reúne uma vez por ano para definir as principais linhas de ação da organização, bem como seus órgãos executivos por votação), um conselho consultivo para a igualdade (que se reúne a cada dois meses para apresentar propostas sobre como melhorar as relações de género na organização), uma comissão de avaliação (que se reúne todos os meses para monitorizar um processo) ou um órgão de garantia (que coleta incidentes, abusos ou propostas para melhorar os procedimentos de tomada de decisão) são exemplos de assembleias.

This umbrella assembly is home to all of the activism and advocacy assemblies in the Party.
The Activism Society (more fully known as the Constructive Activism Society) is the umbrella assembly for all of the Party's advocacy and activist assemblies. These assemblies are typically either community-focused liberational assemblies, such as the Trans Liberation Assembly, or they are single-issue assemblies focused on specific activism, such as Action Apartheid (an internationalist solidarity assembly focused on supporting the liberation of Palestine).
The Constructive Activism Society is also the umbrella assembly for the Party's ally assemblies. You can read about ally assemblies here.
Objetivo da ação
This assembly's purpose is to pool the resources and decisionmaking capacity of all of the activist and advocacy assemblies, should that have value. Wherever there is substantial crossover between different groups, a special version of this assembly is convened to enable intersectional decisionmaking.
In a sense, then, this is the Party's intersectional consensus engine, as well as a labour engine in the form of the ally assemblies.
