What is an "operational assembly"?

An operational assembly is an assembly focused on operations. In this context, "operations" could be held to mean doing stuff for the whole party.

For example, the Safeguarding Assembly is an operational assembly; what it does (safeguarding) is doing stuff for the whole party.

Operational assemblies also provide labour & pools of expertise to other assemblies by focusing people who know about and are interested in specific topics in specific assemblies. For example, all of our graphic designers tend to join the Media Working Group, so if you want a designer, you know to ask them!

Operational assemblies do not produce consensus on things like aid or activism or policy. All of their decisions relate to the operational matters they focus on.
