Please note that participation on this platform is considered participation within the Party. As such, all participation is governed by Party rules, and all participants are expected to adhere to the Ethical Kernel of our Constitution.

Who We Are

harmonyDECIDE is operated by Harmony Party UK, a national federation within the UK-wide Harmony Federation, which is incorporated as HARMONY PARTY LTD.

The System

harmonyDECIDE runs on Decidim, a Ruby-on-Rails app.

Our server is provided by Hetzner Online GmbH.

Open Data

This is an open participatory democracy platform and as such we are committed to the principle of open data.

You can always download your data here.

Nightly CSVs are generated of public data on the site and can be found here.

Account registration

To use the service, you can register or create an account by providing complete and truthful information. You can also view the public components of the service without an account.

You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and should choose a strong passphrase that is both memorable and hard to guess.

By registering, you agree to take full responsibility for all activities under your username and password.

You should immediately inform us, using the contact details in this document, if you believe your personal information, account, or login details have been violated, disclosed, or stolen.

Conditions for account registration

Registration of accounts on our website is subject to the conditions outlined below. By registering, you agree to meet such conditions.

• It is not permitted to register accounts by bots or any other automated methods;

• You must register only one account, unless otherwise specified;

• You agree to follow any rules governing any assembly while participating within that assembly;

You agree to adhere to the principles of the Ethical Kernel of our Constitution in all conduct, on or relating to this website, or the wider Party, as a Participant within Harmony Party UK.

Account suspension and deletion

Suspicion of violation of these terms will result in the review of any such incident(s) by the Safeguarding Assembly and may result in loss of your account (up to and including permanent revocation of the right to an account on this platform) and other disciplinary action in line with the Party Constitution.

You will always be notified of any such investigation.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete your account if in violation of either these terms or as a result of internal Party processes as established by the Party Constitution or any Party Policy Document.

Content on the website

Unless otherwise noted (such as with content posted by accounts utilising this platform), all content on our website is owned or provided by us or by the individual who created that content.

We do our best to ensure the content on our website complies with all laws and respects third-party rights. However, this may not always be achievable. If you believe your rights are being infringed, without prejudice to any legal prerogatives to enforce your rights, please report any issues using the contact details provided in this document.

Rights regarding content on our website

Content posted to this website by account holders is owned by that account holder.

All rights to that content remain with the account holder except insofar as necessary for us to meet our stated commitment to principles such as open data.

All changes to these terms will be conducted through the Decidim Working Group assembly. You will always be notified of meaningful changes.

Such changes will only affect the relationship with you from the date communicated onwards.

Your continued use of the service will signify your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not wish to be bound by the changes, you must stop using the service and terminate the agreement.

The applicable previous version will govern the relationship prior to your acceptance. You can obtain any previous version from us.

If legally required, we will notify you in advance of when the modified terms will take effect.

Severability

Invalidity or unenforceability of any provision under applicable law will not affect the validity of other provisions, which will remain in full force and effect.

Venue of jurisdiction

The jurisdiction over any controversy related to these terms lies with the courts of England and Wales.
